Russell Pollard, Principal, moderated an insightful panel discussion at SMPS Ontario Symposium 2024, which brought together marketing and business development professionals for networking and learning. The theme of this year’s event, PIVOT, focused on the significant changes impacting the industry.
Following the keynote session and procurement updates, the panel explored how individuals and organizations can effectively navigate, respond to, and implement change initiatives. Pollard, founder of Framework Leadership and past-president of SMPS Ontario, guided the conversation as the panelists offered their unique insights on managing change from both a macro and human perspective.

Sybil Allen, PhD, MSW, RSW, CEO of The Human Factor, with over 30 years of experience leading organizations through change with a focus on empathy and the people involved, particularly in the AEC sector.
Cynthia Damar-Schnobb, founder of Artellix, a firm specializing in experiential graphic design and wayfinding. With over 25 years of award-winning experience, she has provided leadership to various industry organizations.
Ian Chodikoff, a strategist, architect, and former editor of Canadian Architect Magazine, shared his expertise on the impact of industry changes on business, construction, and society.
Together, they provided attendees with valuable perspectives on managing and thriving through change.
