Workshop - Understanding Leadership for One’s Role

Our workshops and presentations are designed to support learners’ knowledge, abilities, and confidence in them selves, their colleagues, and business. Contact Russell Pollard to discuss how our programs can benefit you and your business.

Leaders serve a critical role in workplace culture, people and project management, and business success.

Session Overview

This session aims to support participants in understanding the bigger picture of where they and their position fit in the business. It aims to increase clarity of and appreciation for the different roles (e.g. technical departments, human resources, marketing) of the business and align understanding of how each may work with the other. This session leads participants to reflect on their role in the context of change and business, and map out personal objectives for their role.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Describe two frameworks of business management in relation to the business’ stage of growth.

  2. Identify leadership competencies that contribute to a productive, inclusive workplace culture that supports business and people.

  3. Identify the changes required at the individual level for one’s position, and the role of transition management.

  4. Reflect on how they can establish profile and trust as a leader within their immediate team and business.
